Save the children

Jordan now hosts the largest number of registered Syrian refugees in the region. More than half of all Syrian refugees in Jordan are children under 18. The Syrian refugees are currently living in camps (Zaatari refugee camp, King Abdullah Park, Ciber City) and in host communities, with numbers increasing daily as hundreds of new arrivals cross the border from Syria. Hundreds of seperated children and unaccompanied minors have crossed into Jordan. Save the Children is coordinating with UN agencies, governmental bodies, INGOs and local partners in Jordan to better respond to the needs of Syrian children. Our response aims at improving the quality of education, protection and nutritional status for Syrian children and ensuring that they have access to protective and developmentally appropriate education that is relevant to their present, as well as future circumstances.
