Spiroulla Polycarpou is the General Manager (Asia/Pacific) at Globe Williams Australia, and she is responsible for the company’s goals to be met within the established customer service and budgetary standards. She demonstrates expertise in all divisions evaluating strategic business objectives and ensuring the company’s operations are run efficiently whilst abiding to company policies and values.She commenced her employment with the company in 2006 in Athens, Greece (Headquarters Base) where she worked closely with Peter Souvatzis the CEO. During this time she was given the opportunity to grow her knowledge and experience in the Facility Management Sector. The teams she led were Marketing, Human Resources, Office Management and Special Projects.
Change in our organisation most of the times is not voluntary. Her willingness to lead and implement change makes her a valuable member of our organisation as she understands that it is inevitable and necessary to evolve. Major achievements during her two year experience working abroad, was implementing and executing new technology globally and overcoming cultural challenges of working with foreign countries. With this, she demonstrated success in project management and team execution.
In 2008, she returned back to Australia and holds her current position of National Operations Manager. Under Spiroulla Polycarpou’s leadership, Globe Williams Australia grew there turnover by 60%
Prior to Globe Williams, she worked for Lend Lease Retail as Divisional Support assisting with the management of five major shopping Centre’s in Australia and with major achievements of being involved in the redevelopment of the iconic ‘Melbourne Central Shopping Centre’ located in the Central Business District.
Spiroulla studied Business Management and Administration at the Chisolm Institute and can fluently speak three languages. She currently lives in Melbourne Australia with her fiancé and children, and when not working Spiroulla enjoys mostly spending time with her family and friends.
Spiroulla is fortunate enough to have dealt with great leaders and mentors which have contributed to where she is today. With her positive attitude she remains focused while remaining aligned with corporate strategy. |
